Riaan checks the trip
He confirms availability, timing and whether the weather and lagoon conditions are suitable for the trip.
Payment confirms your seat
Only pay once Riaan tells you to. Full payment confirms the booking after the trip has been checked.
Keep it simple. Come ready for the lagoon.
You do not need much for a two-hour trip, but a few practical choices make the experience more comfortable.

The lagoon can feel completely different from shore. Dress for the water, give yourself time to arrive, and ask Riaan if you are unsure about anything you want to bring.
Bring something warm
Even when the day feels mild on land, the breeze on the water can be cooler. An extra warm layer is especially useful in winter.
Your feet may get wet
Boarding, disembarking and stepping ashore can involve shallow water, so wear footwear and clothing that can handle a little splash.
Swimming and photos are welcome
If conditions allow at the beach stop, you can swim if you choose. Guests are also welcome to take their own photos and videos.
Ask before bringing a cooler
If you would like to bring a small cooler box, check with Riaan first so he can confirm whether it is suitable for the trip.
Practical answers. Without making things complicated.
The lagoon and weather are real-world conditions, so Aqua Vibes keeps the process flexible when something needs to change.
If the weather is unsuitable
Riaan checks the conditions before departure. If the weather is not suitable, the trip can be rescheduled or refunded.
If you need to cancel
Contact Riaan as soon as possible. Customer cancellations can also be refunded, and he will guide you through the next step.
Special requests or limited mobility
For elderly guests, wheelchair users or anyone with a special requirement, WhatsApp Riaan before booking. He will assess what can be done safely and comfortably.
You deal directly with Riaan. He is the Aqua Vibes skipper and stays your point of contact from the first WhatsApp enquiry through to the trip itself.
Ask RiaanAnswers before you ask. Plan with confidence.

How long is an Aqua Vibes trip?
A standard trip is exactly two hours, weather and conditions permitting.
What times can I choose?
The normal booking options are 09:00 to 11:00, 11:00 to 13:00, 13:00 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 17:00.
Where do we meet?
Trips depart from Paaltjies / Alabama Slipway in Langebaan. Arrive about 10 minutes before your scheduled start.
Can children come on the trip?
Yes. There is no separate child age restriction for joining. Children under 12 pay R300 and adults pay R400.
Can we swim?
Yes. Guests may swim at the beach stop if they choose, including in winter. Conditions on the day still determine what is practical.
Is the beach stop guaranteed?
The trip normally includes about a 30-minute beach stop when conditions allow. Tide helps determine whether Preekstoel, Kraalbaai or Shark Bay is the better option.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions are unsuitable, Riaan can reschedule the trip or arrange a refund.
Do I pay as soon as I send the enquiry?
No. Wait for Riaan to confirm the trip first. Full payment is then required to secure the booking.
Can I book the whole boat?
Yes. Private groups are for 8 to 11 guests and use the same per-person adult and child rates.
Can I bring a cooler box?
Ask Riaan first. If you want to bring a small cooler box, he will confirm whether it is suitable for your trip.
Are life jackets supplied?
Yes. Life jackets and required safety equipment are supplied, and the boat operates with the required SAMSA certification.
What if someone has limited mobility?
WhatsApp Riaan before booking. For elderly guests, wheelchair users or other special requests, he will assess the safest and most comfortable option.
Plan the trip. Riaan will confirm the rest.
